John Wade - Stonegrave Aggregates

Stonegrave Aggregates Ltd operate out of Aycliffe quarry alongside John Wade (Haulage) Ltd.

The Quarry provides dolomitic limestone used to produce a full range of roadstone and aggregates.

It has the capacity to meet the requirements of any quantities of stone, from the DIY enthusiast to the largest of road construction contracts.

Stone is manufactured to Department of Transport specification, with excellent quality control. The Company's large fleet of tipper vehicles provides an unbeatable service to site.

In addition they also own and quarry aggregates from their quarry at Selset near Middleton in Teesdale, producing carboniferous limestone products.

To keep abreast of the changing times and to help the environment the quarry is forging ahead with its recycling developments.

In recent years there has been a marked increase in the volume of waste products recycled and with heavy investment in waste handling and segregation machinery this trend is set to continue in the future.
